A MasterChef Arrives

Tom Elson-Knight has been working closely with the team at Treguddick since July and will be joining the team as Executive Head Chef in September. His credentials are impeccable, having appeared in the 2019 series of MasterChef where he made it to the final, followed by appearances at pop-up shows around the UK with Salt Kitchen.

Putting his itinerant lifestyle on hold, Tom explains: “Treguddick is an incredible and unique venue with bags of potential, and I am really excited to take the kitchen to the next level. I have already begun working with the team on our first events including a five-course menu for the first anniversary of Treguddick on November 5th, introducing the first Sunday roast menu and uplifting the brunch menu. I have so many ideas to put to action, I just can't wait to get started ”

Treguddick’s Epicurean Adventure’, as the venue’s first anniversary event is called, will see a five-course adventure menu that follows the journey of founder and Master Distiller Dr John. From his first still, commissioned over ten years ago, John realised there was a gap in the market for genuinely high-quality spirits. Suitably galvanised he set out to bring the methodology of distilling firmly into the 21st century. His creations have won the most prestigious awards at leading international spirit competitions and he is consistently leading innovation in the spirits market. In fact, he was the first in the UK to distil rum, sambuca and baijiu, and has developed world-leading techniques for extracting flavours and accelerating ageing processes. The Epicurean Adventure evening will see the unveiling of the next venture with the final course! The event takes place on Saturday 5th November, with booking details available on the events page.
